MENOSTAR^® (estradiol transdermal system) provides low estradiol blood levels in the physiological range for postmenopausal women to prevent bone loss^1,2

The efficacy of MENOSTAR in the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis was investigated in the ULTRA study, a 2-year, double blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter study in the United States.³

A total of 417 postmenopausal women, aged 60 to 80 years, with an intact uterus were enrolled in the study. All patients received supplemental calcium and vitamin D.¹

In the ULTRA study MENOSTAR

• Significantly decreased markers of bone turnover¹
• Significantly increased BMD of the lumbar spine and hip over baseline and placebo¹

MENOSTAR (estradiol transdermal system) therapy resulted in consistent, statistically significant suppression of bone turnover, as reflected by changes in serum and urine markers of bone formation and bone resorption.
